Emails

beabee automatically sends new members a welcome email once they have completed their registration. Also, a cancellation confirmation when they cancel.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Log in to beabee and click on the Membership Builder tab in the sidebar menu.

2. Go to the "Emails" section and formulate your welcome and cancellation email.

You can use so-called merge tags in the emails. These are placeholders that are replaced in the real email by personal information, here for example by the name of the member. The merge tags for this are:

  • First name: *|FNAME|*

  • Last name: *|LNAME|*

Need some tips on what to put in emails and how best to word them? Here are a few ideas from us:

  • Welcome them, say thank you for the support and voluntary contribution

  • Explain what they can expect from their membership, what and how they can participate and what are the first steps of their membership

  • Be transparent, for example, explain what happens with member's money

  • Explain and link where they can log in to change their data and make yourself available for queries.

  • Show your personal side

  • In the cancelation email, thank you for your support so far and highlight what you have achieved together

  • Explain and link where they can log in to renew their membership in case they change their mind about cancelling
