Adding a new entry to the Atlas

You can use the CrowdNewsroom Atlas either to present the results of a CrowdNewsroom on a map as a static view, or as an interactive tool that allows you to collect entries—either through the link to the CrowdNewsroom or via a button directly on the map.

Note: To use the map only as a static view, the CrowdNewsroom must be closed. As long as the CrowdNewsroom is active, a button will automatically appear on the map allowing entries to be added.

Entries via the CrowdNewsroom-Link

  1. Share the link to the CrowdNewsroom with the people you want to contribute an entry to the map.

  1. The person fills out the CrowdNewsroom as usual.

To ensure that the location appears correctly, it is important that the address or postal code is set as a required field and is filled in correctly.

  1. Once someone has completed and submitted the CrowdNewsroom form, their entry will either be published automatically or await your verification—depending on your settings.

Entries via a button

  1. Search for the postal code/location where the entry should appear in the search field at the top left.

  1. Click the + Add new entry button.

  2. Place the mouse at your location on the map and click.

  1. The CrowdNewsroom will now open on the left side. The address field is automatically filled in based on the click on the map.

  1. Fill out the CrowdNewsroom and submit it. The entry will either be published automatically or await your verification—depending on your settings. All entries made via the map can be viewed like any other response to a CrowdNewsroom by clicking on the CrowdNewsroom and selecting View all responses.
