Biggest Succes Factors

The biggest success factor for Magločistač is the personal motivation to go on with the publication, despite all challenges, or as stated by Dmitrović: “Our own values as individuals are the only reason we still exist.”

While being an independent media in Serbia makes it difficult to sustain financially, it on the other hand frees the potential of publishing impact-driven stories that actually change political decisions and legislations and improve the lives of the people in the local community.

Even though there are not many offers of this kind, Magločistač receives support, mainly legal advice, from the Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina (NDN), a regional NGO in which independent media organisations are networked.
