# Change language

he automatic emails that Stripe sends for direct debit payments are usually set to English by default. If you would like to use a different language, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Stripe account. Go to the *settings* tab and, under the *Business* section, click *Customer emails*.

2. Change the default language to your preferred language. The automatic emails will now be sent in this language.
