{% hint style="info" %}
You can use so-called merge tags in your email text. These are placeholders that are automatically replaced with personal information in the actual email – for example, the first and last name of a new member.
{% endhint %}

3. To insert merge tags, first click at the desired position in your email text. Then select the *tag icon* above the text field and click the *plus sign (+)* next to the merge tag you want to add.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Depending on the email, different merge tags are available. In some cases, it is essential that you keep these when customizing the email – for example, when resetting an email address or changing a password.
{% endhint %}
