How to create email templates
If you want to send recurring or one-time emails to your segments, you don't have to write a new email every time. You can simply use your templates.
To create a template, first log in to your beabee instance and select Contacts from the sidebar.
Once you're in your Contacts menu, tap the small email icon above your contact list. Then, in the drop-down menu, tap Manage Email Templates.

In this overview, you'll find all your templates as well as all sent emails—including details on when and how often they were sent. You can also see under Type whether an email is a one-time or recurring message.

To add another email template, click Create Template.
Here you can enter the subject line, body text, and title of the email template as you wish.
In the Preview field, you can see how your email will appear to your contacts. Clicking the arrow below the Preview Contact field will show you a preview of the email for each contact in the segment. If you are using merge tags, you can check that they are working here.

Merge tags are placeholders that are automatically replaced with your contacts' personal information. This could include their name, membership number, or other individual details. They allow you to design emails so that each message appears to be written specifically for the recipient—without having to customize every email individually. You can add them by clicking the small tag icon above your email.

You can also choose whether to send the email using your default email address or a different sender. Click here to learn how to set your default email address. To use a different sender, toggle the switch next to Use custom sender and then enter the desired email address and sender name in the fields that appear.

Be sure to use a valid email address as the sender. This is the only way to ensure that recipients can reply to you.
Done! To save your template, click Save. Your template will now appear in your template collection.
You can edit or delete any of your templates. To do so, simply click on the template you want in your list and edit the text as needed. The delete button is located above the email text. You can temporarily pause recurring emails by clicking the Disable button.

If you disable and then re-enable an ongoing email, any contacts who entered or exited the segment during the time the email was paused will not receive an email.
