70 % der Einnahmen stammen aus freiwilligen Zahlungen der rund 25.000 Abonnentinnen und Abonnenten. Der Großteil der restlichen Einnahmen wird durch Werbung erzielt. Einen sehr kleinen Teil machen die Verkäufe einer Buchhandlung aus, die sich im Eingangsbereich der VilaWeb-Redaktion in Barcelona befindet.
