# Wie Magločistač angefangen hat

Magločistač wurde 2015 von Natalija Jakovljević Ivanić, Ljiljana Elek und Zlatko Romić als Projekt des Centar građanskih vrednosti („Zentrum für bürgerliche Werte“), einer lokalen zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisation, gegründet.

Die Gründung von Magločistač war eine Reaktion auf die Privatisierung der staatlichen Medien, die 2015 beschlossen wurde und vor allem viele lokale Medien zum Schließen zwang. Alle Gründer von Magločistač haben einen journalistischen Hintergrund und haben zum Beispiel bei einem lokalen Radiosender in Subotica gearbeitet. Mirana Dmitrović, die heutige Chefredakteurin und Projektmanagerin, kam sechs Monate nach der Gründung zum Team.

In den ersten fünf Jahren haben alle ehrenamtlich und ohne Bezahlung gearbeitet. 2020 hat Magločistač seine erste Crowdfunding-Kampagne gestartet, gefolgt von einer zweiten im selben Jahr. Damit konnten zum ersten Mal Gehälter gezahlt werden.
