# Wie das Bürgerportal angefangen hat

Das Bürgerportal in GL wurde 2009 als UG von Werner Schmitz-Dietzsch und Georg Watzlawek gegründet. Ihre Vision war es, eine digitale Tageszeitung in Form eines täglichen Newsletters zu entwickeln und gleichzeitig eine digitale Plattform für Unternehmen, Vereine und lokale Initiativen zu schaffen. Von 2009 bis 2013 führten beide das Bürgerportal in Teilzeit. Seit 2014 ist Georg Watzlawek  alleiniger Betreiber des Bürgerportals als Einzelunternehmer.
